We offer conservation services for every type of textile artifact, including:

Quilts Samplers Flags and Banners Lace Tapestries Costume/Historic Dress Costume Accessories Rugs Upholstery Ethnographic textiles from all cultures, including: Coptic Pre-Columbian Asiatic Miscellaneous objects incorporating textiles including:  Lampshades Kites Airplanes (!)

We provide all conservation treatments, including: Examination  Surface cleaning Wet cleaning Stabilization Mounting for display Framing Mannequin dressing Custom dyeing of fabrics and yarns

A Proposed Treatment and Estimate Report is prepared for each textile received for treatment. The report includes a complete examination of the textile, the results of any testing necessary, a treatment proposal and a cost estimate. The fee for this service is $85.00 per textile.

Written and photographic documentation is prepared for every treatment; a Post Treatment Report and color slides are provided to each client when the textile is returned.

Please note that as of January 1, 2008 the fee for a written proposal and estimate will be $100.00 per textile. The hourly rate for services will increase to $100.00 per hour on the same date.
