Deborah Bede has over 30 years of experience in textile conservation, acquired in a variety of settings including fine art museums, history museums, a regional conservation center and with clients at Stillwater Textile Conservation Studio LLC. She received graduate-level professional training at the Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, receiving a Diploma in Conservation in 1982. Her experience comprises conservation treatment of textiles of all types, as well as exhibit preparation and installation, storage design and implementation, surveys, work planning and project management.
