
Deborah Bede, Principal
of Stillwater Textile Conservation Studio, LLC, has headed the textile
conservation laboratories at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the
Minnesota Historical Society. She also worked for several years as
a textile conservator at the Textile Conservation Workshop, Inc.
Deborah received her training in textile conservation at the
Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University,
completing the four-year graduate-level course in 1982. She
interned at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and was a Mellon
Fellow in Conservation at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Deborah has also worked with private clients since 1984, serving both
individuals and institutions.
Deborah is a Fellow of the American Institute for Conservation and the
International Institute for Conservation.
